We're pleased to announce that the Maths Helpdesk has received funding from the Vice Provost for Research and we're looking forward to another year's problem solving.
New plans for 2017/18
We're expanding our activities to include:
- Fortnightly drop-in sessions, where you can continue to work on collaborations too
- Collaborative research hackathons on research problems from across College
We need your help
In order to do this, we need your help. We want to recruit a larger team to run the helpdesk, including representatives from all the major research areas. Your role would be simple and hopefully enjoyable: come to the drop-in sessions regularly and answer questions, and moderate questions on your subject area on the helpdesk solver area to ensure they're getting responded to. You can also get involved in organising and delivering hackathons and crash courses, but there's no obligation to do so if you don't want to.
